What would you guys get? Here's my scenario: I will be showing property (real estate agent). I have no kids. I love the look and performance of the FX45 and dread the straight line performance of the H2. I like the military look of the olive green H2s though. Me and my pals sometimes pile into my GS and take a short road trip to a firing range to shoot our assault rifles. Making those trips in an olive Hummer would be cool. Both vehicles can be had used for about $40,000. I require 100% reliabilty. Any thoughts?
there ugly, the image is zip when soccer moms are driving them left and right, they will expect the ak or ar15 in the hummer, but not in the fx45....better gas milage in the fx, don't know about comfort. both are not the best back seat riders. you could really surprise them with the arsonal in the gs. but out of those two...neither are my fav's but the hummer is sittin still, so a black fx45.

FX45 , especially if good reliability is required, plus the FX also looks aggressive & way more cool, & more fun to drive.
not flaming here, but ask yourself what's more important to you: Having the right "image" vehicle for showing properties or for taking your buddies to the range?? That H2 is an overpriced plastic
POS if you ask me. Go with the FX, those things are hot!!
FX has A LOT more gadgets and goodies than the H2. We had an H2 for a while and while it did look "cool" parked outside, we dreaded driving it cus of the 10.3 mpg. Floor that thing on the highway and you'll dip down to 5mpg. My vote goes for the FX45 all the way.
I would not pay for the 45, and with their resale value off the lot i wouldn't buy new. You can pickup a used Fx 35 with the tech package with very little miles on it for $32-34k, $20,000 less over a new FX 45.

The Hummer H2 was rated dead last in initial quality. I can't imagine the long term scenario will be much better.
The FX45 has a pretty jarring ride. Wheels look way too big also (my opinion only). At the minimum drive the FX35 as well to compare. Test them both out on rough roads.
Thanks for all of the feedback guys. The GS is being given to my girlfriend in February. I may just find a lower mileage 2000 GS400 in spectra blue for myself or opt for the FX45 if one can be had for $35,000 by then. I just always want something different after about a year of ownership.
