Guys, I live in VA where radars are illegal. I just bought a 350 Z but am in desperate need off ideas on how too set up a stealth installation. Does anyone have any ideas. I currently have the remote piece as well.

I'm not too familiar with the 350Z interior but if there is a clock or other small opening with room behind it I'm sure the V1 could be wired up to fit behind it and only have the small viewing area shown. You could turn it off and it'll be invisible. i think some people did this in a GS.

Have a look over in the electronics section perhaps... I recall some talk about how to do different radar detectors in a stealth install

See a good audio shop - they will be able to do some interior work where you can have it sitting overhead, tucked in with a clear view of the front and the rear. Then you can opt for the remote display and have it sitting somewhere out of sight.

Ummm let see, there aren't much room you can hide stuff in the Z. The only place I could think of is install it in one of your Air Con Vents.

I've seen a few examples of a stealth V1 install in the rear view mirror on this forum. Looked very clean, and it preserved the front and rear view the detector needs to operate properly. To a casual observer, it looked like a factory compass/display that you normally see in GM and other products. Do a search for V1 installs on the electronics forum, and you may find it. I recall the thread had several pictures, too. Good luck!

www.teknicar.com or www.systemdynamics.com 2 reputable shops that have done work for members in the past. I know Lexus of Manhattan has used teknicar before for some of their more advanced customer needs. One of our members HOTLEX400 had his GS done by systemdynamics...Ihave seen his car in person and can tell you it is a quality job.
