Net profit fell to $1.4 billion from the previous year, the company said, with sales increasing a slim 0.2 percent to $112.4 billion. Down 57%

03 Toyota 4th Quarter
Its net profit totaled $2.7 billion in the October-December period, up 60% from last year

In terms of assets, profitability, ability to produce, research dollars, product variability, plant capacity, and many other factors, Toyota/Lexus is now considered to be the world's largest and most successful auto manufacturer.....eclipsing General Motors. And this, even in spite of GM's ownership of Saab, Opel, Hummer, and Isuzu.....and losing Oldsmobile.
