I understand the company's point however burying it in 3 pages of legal-eze is deceptive. One agency charged my card for not topping off. When I called, they told me I didn't fill up and was charged $4.25/gallon. I disputed the charged with the C-card Co. and didn't hear from the rental agency. In the end, the C-card company cleared the entire rental charge of ~$100.
There are some nice ones...one company also tried to bill me. When I called to tell them I had a receipt showing the fuel added and if they wanted a copy I'd send it. The represenative declined and relayed that the manager is going to look into it. Later during the week, I received a coupon for a one day free rental and a handwritten apology for the error.

Well, before we ***** and gripe about this, let's find out WHY Big Brother is watching. Perhaps too many employees have been using company or rental vehicles at company expense to do their own personal buisness. Gas is now over $2.00 a gallon in many places....and still headed up. It costs money to operate company vehicles, and maybe they just want a little accountability from the people that use them. Nothing wrong with that. If you lent YOUR car out to somone, would you not want to know where it went, and under what circumstances? I would.
