I also find it quite, blah, nothing Ferrari about it. It was designed after a 1 off Ferrari from the 1960s or so. It is a big car, 191 inches long (longer than a GS). Ferrari is supposed to be about style, this car has none.
I would take it's predecessor, the 456GT or GTA ahead of this anyday.

Doesn't it "look like" the RX-8 front with Z-4 side profile? By the way, how do you even say the name: Scag...scagli.uh...scag-li-uh-etti? Whatever happened to Testarossa and Modena and other exotic names?:D

True its not the prettiest, but neither was the 456M IMO. I like the change to front engine because it fits the shape much better on this one.

I would too, there are a lot of highly desirable cars I can use it to trade for. :D

Thanks Amy. In that case, should've just stuck to the #'s/monickers? like 360, 456,...
Scag-li-etti....ewwwwwwww

dunno if you guys clicked the picture link or whatever so here is the pictures of it.
Anyway, While visiting my roomate in Newtown, Ct this weekend, I spotted one travelling on 684S. It was a dark silver color(not quite grey)driven by a guy who appears to be in his 20's and I assume his Dad riding shot gun reading a newspaper. Before seeing this car in person, I always said that it is the ugliest Ferrari I have ever seen and even wanted to know why in the world would they do this. After seeing this car in person, it really doesnt look to bad. Its kind of wierd at first because its incredibly long(has to be the longest 2-door in production today) and low to the ground. The rear of the car is typical Ferrari, and the front to some might seem ugly, but looking head on, its really attractive and the large low grill commands attention like you wouldnt believe. The side view of the car is very clean and contains no vents, hood scoops etc anywhere on the body of the vehicle. Just clean Italian design.
Even though it looks so much better travelling down the road than in pictures, there is slightly more room for improvement. But I actually enjoy this welcome change because the Enzo and 430 look to technological to me. Way to many scoops, vents, etc like some kid in AutoCAD was messing around on the computer. This Scaglietti is like a throw back to what Ferrari design is truely about. However I would still take a Gallardo or an Aston Martin over this model.
While in Ct, I also spotted two 360 Modena's, both in red, and a 997 S in silver. All are outstanding looking vehicles.
I wish I had my camera, however I let my parents borrow it for the day. Hopefully next time.

The
612 Scaglietti is a FINE piece of automobile. it's got 4 proper seats--it's a real GT car.
if i had the finances. i'd buy one.
i'd also buy an Aston DB9

I've seen a few roaming the streets of LA and lemmie say that I think they look sick, with a nice pair of shoes that car looks amazing, different, but amazing nonetheless.

Its ugly, its ungainly, its horrendous. Its also not selling well already. Its predecessor, the 456 is one of of favorite cars of all time, truly a beauty. This one is just odd, period.
This is going to be quite a buy on the used market, like the 456. 2+2 Ferraris just don't get the respect of the 2 seaters.

Yep, I still think this thing is fugly for a Ferrari, possibly the least appealing of the modern Ferrari's

I've been in a Black 612 Scaglietti with F1 transmission. A colleague's client had one and he took us for a spin.
What an amazingly fast car. I found myself caressing the leather, sort of sub-consciously like you do when you start dating a girl :D The interior is amazing...the leather is of a quality that is out of this planet (although I don't think it would wear to well).
Anyway, it's not too bad in the flesh, however, the 360/430 are nicer. The guy, who's a property developer, told me that he wanted a 360 but it didn't have enough seats (he wanted to be able to take his young children for a spin without having to take turns!).
It's an awesome car, even if it looks a little gawky.

I love 'em!!! I think they look grreat! Very nice GT car.
I wish the fenders were a bit more 'muscular' the sketch depicts, then again I think the only thing that needs a little more attention to is the wheels. The wheels are a little to plain for such a hot GT. Other than that, it's a hot car!
