We recognize that Lexus consumers tend to be people who feel passionately about life and are constantly seeking new and rewarding experiences. For this reason, we sponsor a variety of events that indulge the senses and engage the mind. What they all have in common is a shared commitment to the "Passionate Pursuit of Perfection."

The Lexus Taste of Luxury Tour is just such an event. The main attraction of this event will be the variety of luxury vehicles available to test-drive-almost every 2004 Lexus, plus those of our top competitors. Attendees can also indulge in an array of delicacies prepared by gourmet chefs. Listen to the incredible sounds provided by the Mark Levin son® audio system. Work on their golf swing with a professional instructor. Or even plan the ideal luxury escape.

RX-400h on display
I got an emailer from Lexus Marketing saying that the RX-400h vehicle will be on display at all of the Lexus Test Drive event locations. Now there's another incentive to check out the event

Thanks for the heads up. Just signed up for it. These driving events are usually fun, I've been to BMW, Cadillac, and a GM event in the last few years. Get to drive new stuff and eat free food. It's all good!

Did you guys (who signed up) get a confirmation of the date and location by e-mail on this event? I signed up last week when I got the email invite but received no confirmation. Called Lexus customer service and they don't know a thing about it.
Also, why are they featuring the 2004 models when the model year is coming to end with 2005 coming out in Sept or so? Shouldn't they be doing this with 2005 models instead?

It says in the registration form that Lexus won't email out the invitation until about 2 weeks before the event. My own guess is it is probably somewhat different than the one they had for SUV which featured off roading courses. This may just be a driving comparison in town rather than the elaborate off roading setup. Just a guess on my part. Either way it'll be fun to go to such event since Lexus does everything first class. It'll be worth the trip just to check out the RX400h up close.
