VSsc400 07-07-04, 11:13 AM the majest looks great! too bad we won't be getting them.... *sigh
Technics 07-07-04, 11:45 AM Love the Crown, as usual we don't get any of the real goodies Japan has to offer.
Don't know about that Avalon though

Looks like an enlarged Prius. I hope the real thing won't look like that.
Like the Majestas and VIP Car has had ads by Wald that show them with body kit and wheels.
The Avalon takes some getting used to, I like it...wish it was RWD or AWD.
damn that's a sweet car!
though i might wanna choose the ls430 :)
ChronoJ1 07-07-04, 02:32 PM What engine does the Majesta use?
LexusLuver 07-07-04, 02:43 PM The Avalon cant be rwd sicne it's based on the Camry platform. It is meant to compete w/Buicks.
The redisigned Crown could likely serve as the new 06 GS.
Davtown 07-07-04, 02:43 PM The Crown Majesta has some Maybach styling cues in the rear
The Crown Majesta looks hot, a car like that looks like it would be better suited in the Lexus line up then the Toyota line, just looking at the car it looks like an easy 70k, infact it looks like the SC430 morphed into the LS430 and thats the end result, hopefully that car will make it to the US and into Lexus, maybe that will be the next LS:) why would anyone buy an S Class over that;)
Now the Avalon:rolleyes:
When I Toyota gonna make a RWD sedan and take out the Crown Vic/Town Cars;)
This would definately have to be a Lexus over here. You wouldn't want a car
that nice wearing a Toyota badge in the US. Although nice, I wouldn't want that
to be the next LS because I believe Lexus has something even better in store,
probably much better.
I'd not seen a Majesta till we were on vacation in Barbados and that was the taxi we rode in. It was  after that ride. Too bad they aren't available in the states. No complaints with the LS...it is just one of those loves at first sight that sticks. I like the Avalon and considered an '02 if the GS or LS didn't pan out.
Xenthar 07-07-04, 09:26 PM wow..the crown looks really nice. The avalon on the other hand doesnt look good at all.
gcrim21 07-08-04, 12:38 AM The GS body style will change with the 2005 models.

mmarshall 07-08-04, 07:39 AM The Crown looks much like the Hyundai XG350....not a bad-looking car at all. I hope we eventually get it here in the U.S.
The Avalon.....looks like a Prius made out of taffy that somebody pulled at both ends. I wonder if somebody also stufffed an oversized electric motor in there.
:eek2: :thumbdn:
Lsportline43 07-08-04, 09:46 AM Doesn't the Crown come with a V12? It's suppose to be Toyotas Flagship Luxury Sedan.

No, it's not the Crown, it's the Toyota Century.
XeroK00L 07-08-04, 12:27 PM The headlights and the whole front in general of the Crown Majesta look way too much like the S-class's, even more so than the LS's do.:thumbdn:
Other than that it's one top-notch car I also wish we could have in the US.
I seriously doubt if the next Avalon will look like that. It's supposed to be a sedan, not a stretched hatchback.
Not bad but I like the 04 LS430 better.

i don't know... it would be a hard choice.... but since we don't have a choice... the LS430 it is!!!

Who wouldn't ;) they aren't even comparable except in styling.

It may not be a bad idea, in terms of luggage space utility.
For example, I'll take the Mazda6 Sport(hatchback that looks more like a sedan) over the regular Mazda 6 sedan in a second.
