I disagree with the "wasted vote" part....there is no such thing as a wasted vote in a democracy. That's what ballots are for...to express your opinion. Look at the 2000 FL Presidential vote.....one of the recounts had Bush ahead by SIX votes.....in a state of millions.
In 1992 Ross Perot at one point was ahead of both Bush and Clinton in the polls....and ended up polling almost 20% on Election day.....a little less in 1996.
Now, as to my own personal choice, I'll take the GOP, hands-down, even though most of the population in my area is liberal and Democrat. My experience in life has shown me that Democrats screw things up much worse than Republicans....although the GOP is sometimes wrong, too.
I don't expect to see too many people here pick "wasted" I think we are all too smart for that . I like your comments about liberals & Gop...

There is such a thing as a wasted vote ... sometimes you feel like you're voting for one guy and it's really just the right hand of one big puppet. Don't want to be too cynical, but to idealize is just the opposite.
I'm a Democrat in Nebraska ... a PRESIDENTIAL vote for the Democratic candidate around here is USELESS. However I feel it is still important to vote ... just don't fall for all the simplified slogans and cliches our country supposedly stand for.
Off my soapbox now :D

I think God was cursing me by finding this post site....
I promised my girlfriend that I wouldn't get on my soap box and preach politics this election year.
It always seems that I get into some debate over an issue that flames peoples opinions.
But its like my dad always said,,, "opinons are like a$$ holes, everybody has one, and they always stink"
Sorry for the profane languge.:(
