Hyundai Terracan SUV ... another cool truck not State-side
The "Special Black" option makes this thing look absolutely killer. Apparently there are lots of options and some serious tech gadgets available to customers over in S. Korea.
Originally posted by Attila I remember someone photoshopped one of these a long time ago into a Lexus and tricked lots of people into thinking that it was the next gen LX500
Took a while for people to realize it wasn't real
Cool truck though, sucsk that it's not stateside.... can anyone explain that 3rd mirror on the hood? I know it's been explained before but I forget..
It does in fact look strikingly like a Toyota-Lexus product....I thought upon seeing it at first that it was a badge-engineered product. That mirror on the hood covers some of the blind spots lost in the conventional mirror.
Non-Stop Power
Here, you are in a world where you can replicate "looks" but you cannot replicate the blood line.
Low, but majestically laid out 174HP CRDi engine
That engine's true worth makes the challenging terrain into a composed one and on comfortibles roads it's spirited.
174HP 2.9CRDi Diesel Engine
based on proven CRDi engine, improved and upgraded internals it was able to achieve maximum of 174HP and max torque of 36xg-m/2,000rpm of maximum ability (2WD models are 170HP)

Does it come in stick?
No, I don't think so. It seems to be, intentionally, something very close to the LX470 - only built by S. Koreans for the S. Korean market. It's partial to luxury over sport/utility.
The mirror in the hood is when you have to parallel park that big hunk of an SUV and you need to check how close you are to the curb. That mirror tilts down a little past your front wheels so you can align your car as straight as possible to the curb.

The LandCruiser/LX470, as we know it in the states, is avaliable with diesel and stick (including luxury/NAV pack) in Europe...Just goes to show how many compromises we have to make due to our car culture here in the States.
They probably sell only 5 or so of those luxo-pack stick-shift LandCruisers in Europe each year, but that doesn't stop them from offering it. It's proof that custom-ordering is the way to go, and our federal regulations are focused in the wrong areas.
We need a serious overhaul of our systems and laws/regulations. Tripping in the '70s is preventing us from having access to a lot of desirable products.
