Ford confirms that the engine installed is a V-10, as in the 605-hp Cobra concept. At that concept's introduction, Ford execs said that 700 hp for the V-10 was a distinct possibility, given more Shelby-fication

Speaking of the Ford GT, the latest issue of Makes and Models reports the test drivers have achieved 205 mph. Isn't that quite a feat for 550 hp. The car must be awfully light.
I like the look of this new concept but looks like it will be competing against it's own family.

Looks really really good.

I'm a big fan of the design but doubt I could ever see myself driving that.

Weight is a small factor at those speeds. Air resistance against the Ford GT is probably low.
I think the GT2 can do 200 w/100 less hp and a huge wing. Actually 205mph sounds somewhat conservative to me.

Yeah it kinda looks Brock Yate's Superformance rendition of the Daytona Coupe. I like it! Performance and heritage. . .

i guess for them the only way to go forward is to go backwards. I still like it!:thumbup:

The rear is definitely reminiscent of the original Cobra Coupe... the front fenders remind me of the Aston Martin Vanquish.

good lookin car, i'd definately drive it.

It looks like the car from that one show back in the mid to late 90's. i forgot what its called but the underground cop guy drives a viper and when the bad guys give him lip, he presses the button and his red viper transforms into a silver viper with tricks out the anus. It fires missles, has a built in wench, it's got all kinds of neat tricks. The plot and the storyline of the show was decent, i always watched it as a kid because the car was FILTHY. any body know what im talking about?

yeah, I remember that show. I was not impressed but I watched sometimes just to see what crazy thing the car would do.
