Is that a car or a computer image. Not bad at all. Retro like the Mustang.

I'd love to see it make production. Doubt it will though. ;(

I think that pic has been circulating the net for a while now. If I recall correctly, it was drawn by a kid and is not a GM drawing. Too bad....it can have some potential

Yeah - well, GM should hire the kid. - great design.

However, this thing wouldn't make production even if it was a legit sketch/cd. Something like this would go the way of the "new" Ford Thunderbird - I think; it would be too expensive and the Camaro nameplate never commanded an outrageous price - it's affordability was always part of the attraction.

That, and it always went really fast in a straight line.

They dropped the Camaro/Firebird nameplates for a reason...so they'd never be made again. Looks good, but I guarantee that's never gonna see production, and doubt highly there will EVER be another Camaro. Ever.

I have heard that they are bringing back the nameplate in 2007

This is wishful dreaming for a guy like me who grew up loving Camaro's and have owned 2. Bring it on GM.

Why would they do that after making such a big deal about killing it off, and making special "final edition" F bodies...oh that's right, it's the General, and their marketing and thought process confuses me a lot sometimes.

The front end looks like the '67. It's obvious why we're seeing this concept. GM management has taken a good look at the new Mustang....which also is a '67 retro, I might add. They know the new Mustang is going to sell, and they know they're going to have to have some competition for it. But....while they have taken a lot of heat for dropping the last F-Bodies last year, the truth is that those cars in some ways deserved to be dropped. While they were true muscle cars with the 5.7L V8, they also were poorly built rattle-and-squeak-mobiles that could do little more than burn up their trear tires from 0-60 in a straight line and spend most of their time in the shop getting things fixed.
Let's hope, if this new Camaro sees the light of day, that is a better product than the last one.

We've seen this crap before, Jet.....especially from GM. The " Last American convertible " Cadillac Eldorado rolled off the assembly line in 1976...and we were " never " going to see convertibles again...for safety reasons. Buick would never, ever, make a truck-based product. Neither would Cadillac. Neither would Lincoln. Ford would never drop the Taurus..it is too popular. Now the Taurus is gone.
The point is....I would believe Bill Clinton before I believed the promises of many auto executives.

Oh please! thats just what they said about the supra and the 2000gt and... oh nevermind

haha but seriously I thought GM was done with that for good when they had the specail editions. What a way to reward the people that shelled out the extra cash by... making a another generation that was never supposed to be.
