Honestly, the only thing that I don't like about this car is where the exhaust exits... but other than that... :eek2: :eek2: holy smokes, this car is hot!
Davtown 08-19-04, 02:23 AM Some p-chops of different colors...

I like all those colors as well.... the black looks a little too flat to me, needs more shine to it... but then again, it is a p-chop :)
XeroK00L 08-19-04, 02:26 AM The front is a blatant, complete 3-series rip-off!!:thumbdn:
That said, the power of 500hp and 500tq is definitely putting it in a league far above the M3.:eek1:
ivesGS400 08-19-04, 03:13 AM I kind of like the front end. The back looks too much like a Mustang to me.
Second pic, I drive by that new building in the background almost everyday :) Traffic is already crazy around here, party weekend!
adidosc 08-19-04, 06:58 AM mmm.... thats one hot piece of machinery :p
Gojirra99 08-19-04, 07:51 AM The hp & torque is nice, but the looks of the car does nothing for me.
400DGRZ 08-19-04, 11:06 AM What wheels are those?
I personally am very excited about Pontiac doing this. It's about time that more American cars start stepping up to compete in the realms of AMG & M-series power numbers.
Way to go Pontiac!
i like it a lot. and its not all that expensive either. just a tad under $40k gets you balls out performance.
I like it, good find!!
MagusFuria 08-19-04, 03:02 PM The question is....can it turn? =P
D2-AUTOSPORT 08-19-04, 04:53 PM Like:
Power
Wide Fenders
Stance
Wheels
Dislike:
Extroverted scoops, strakes, etc all over it. It needs a good shave and its a keeper!
Captain Bone 08-19-04, 06:51 PM Nice piece of machinery.
I agree about the looks of the car but it is very nice engine work :)

I believe CCW, like SW has on his 10 sec SC. I like it, and yes it has insane power, but the finesse and refinement that the likes of the M3 and S4 have will probably lacking on this car, unless they do the C6/CTS-V research. Overall, awesome car for an awesome value, but is it going into production or what?

Yankees Diva 08-19-04, 07:16 PM take out the guts - and you have urself a jack-o- lantern concept for the first picture. the HP is very impressive though

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the few of us over 40 guys around here just love seeing these muscle cars they're coming out with. The new modern cars can be made to produce some sweet sounding exhaust notes.....but they can't compare to the brute force produced by a muscle car. Riding in one is a feeling that can't be reproduced by the Asian cars or even the Germans. Again, they're nice but muscle is always stronger than just hot air.
So I say, Go GTO!
vboy418 08-19-04, 08:36 PM  not bad...
joshthorsc 08-20-04, 12:52 AM I love the new GTO!! The only problem is reliability. I'm not sure if the GTO's are reliable. In fact, I don't trust american cars at all. My parents owned 2 american cars in the past and it always broked down on them. They won't buy anything except for toyota only!!
jtanoyo1 08-20-04, 01:20 AM You do know , that's a holden hsv made in australia right? There's nothing american about that car.....
It just got rebadged in the States.....

Gotta do your homework , dude, before you say there's nothing American in that car. The GTO's engine is a 350 HPCorvette LS-1 5.7L smoker.....the very same engine that goes into brand-new Vettes at Bowling Green and went into the Trans-Am and Camaro SS ( in 325 HP tune) before they were dropped.

LS1 and LS6 are made at the St. Catharines plant in Canada.
American?!? I guess you could call it that but I don't think that's what he meant.

True, but it is all under the GM flag.
I like the way it looks. I bet that thing will smoke almost anything on the streets!
