Anybody know when all the specs for the car will be available?? I wonder if the V6 will be closer to Toyota's 3.3L V6 & Honda's 3.0L V6? But it is very close to the Accord from the back end! But nice looking nontheless......complete new platform I take it?? Details are appreciated!! When does it hit the North American Market?
Can't wait to see this car in person....and to test-drive it.
Like I've said numerous times in earlier posts, the fit-and-finish on new Hyundai products has become virtually indistinguishable from Hondas and Toyotas.
Even if the fit and finish are equal to Toyota and Honda, I give them no respect until they have their own identity. The sides really remind me of the current A4, the front like the Legacy, and the rear lights and bumper, could honestly BE accord, not just resemble them. As long as they're playing catch up to other companys and not doing things on their own and making a splash, they still are gonna be the under-engineered, second rate car company playing follow the leader.

With the huge number of new vehicles on the market today, it is very difficult to come up with something that doesn't copy someone else's design somewhere.....except for purposely-designed retros like the new Mustang, PT Cruiser, New Beetle, etc..... You can take almost any non-retro new vehicle on the marketplace today and complain that it looks like something else. Take the Chrysler 300C, for instance.........one of the main reasons it sells so well, (among others) is precisely because it LOOKS like a Bentley.
I agree with jet to some degree......it's better if your car stands out from the crowd more so than if it 'just blends in' The companies have to take some measure of risk when launching a new product but I think all of the companies have learned from history past & say the Edsel & Aztec were a BAD mistake. So somewhere between 'bland & what a disaster' one has to go.......& I take my hat off to Chrysler as they have the gut's to introduce new product that is not only eye catching but it's actually selling like mad!
I'm intrested in the technical specs of the all new Sonota but I doubt I'll ever go out of my way when it comes to replace my wife's Focus for a larger 'family vehicle' to ever go to Hyundai because every other car maker has pretty much the same car........but it's MUCH better than Hyundai's
Will the US ever see the NAV screen? That'd make the car a little more interesting, but as we all know how JDM cars get treated here in the US I'm sure that we won't see it. The cost of the options won't be appreciated by people over here looking for a "value vehicle".
