Alright JLSC4... you asked for a poll.. here it is.
1. Porsch-uuhhhhhh (2 syllable)
this is where my vote is going... as i said in the other thread
I don't think Porsche would allow a mispronunciation of their name in a commercial... so if the commercial says it's 2 syllable, it is I don't really see the other side of the argument here.
2) Porsche (1 syllable)
JL's argument - only women say it with 2 syllables
Anyway, I pronounce it with one syllable. My parents are from Europe and they say it's always pronounced with one syllable...So, I dunno. Whatever floats your boat.
Jag-you-were (that's the right way...make sure to include Cockney accent)
I say it with two syllables. I remember someone mentioning that owners say it the correct way with two syllables and non owners say it wrong with one syllable

I know a couple of guys with Porsches and they say it with one syllable.
the correct way of saying it (without getting laughed at by the German tech instructors) is Por-Scha. if you pronounce it any other way, you are miss pornouncing it. watch any Prosche tech movie or anything from any die hard Porsche fan, and theyll tell you the same. when i took the tech cert classes they made sure that we didnt say it wrong...took a little getting used to.
