A suprizing reveiw for a Toyota - X runner
Normally when a car magazine does a article about toyota its the same thing time and time again, "great bargin" "great reliabilty" you know the rest, but the new X-runner seems to have really impressed them.

This is the 2nd place where I have read the truck does drive like a Z compared to other trucks. Wow a 13" BBK. This is just the beginning of how SERIOUS Toyota is of getting sporty. this is a TRUCK! So we can only imagine when the sport sedans and coupes start rolling out.
Styling is also a stand out among the crowd. A big step for Toyota

Toyota knows they are going to overtake everything if they add the sport to the reliability. Phase one has begun.

Expect world domination shortly...
Like others, I can't wait to see what Toyota has up their sleeves... I definitely like the X-Runner a lot
I like the main pic from the article

I think that they are trying to compete with the rest of the Super powered P/U on the market right now....they are seeing how Dodge is taking over with their new Viper truck....etc...etc...

Just a question... when Dodge came out with the SRT-10 truck, (500 hp viper engine, 6-speed manual, etc.), in order to make it sporty and handle well, they had to have select sway bar sizes, shock valving, and spring rates that pretty much killed most of the towing capacity. Will this be the case with the X-Runner? Any word on the towing capacity of this truck?

Looks nice, performs nice, great price, and has truck capabilities. My problems are the rear drum brakes and the non functional hood scoop. I like RWD, but maybe an AWD offering could make it a little more interesting so you can still handle some deeper gravel, mud, whatever without worrying about getting stuck.

Yeah, Nummi has them in full production now. I've seen several truckloads of the new 05 Tacomas coming down I-5 last weekend going to the NorCal EOS v.3 meet.
