I've seen alot of japanese vip cars with this type of headlight (hid) almost seems as though the light is just to light up the housing and not the road( like for show) is that the case here??
also what's with the bright amber lights that I've seen on a bunch of cars? I like:thumbup: :D

The blue light in the headlights are most likely just LED city lights which come standard on some/most JDM spec Lexus cars in Japan. As for the bright amber bulb, it seems like it could be just an extra high wattage bulb.
Those city lights look cool.... Is there anyway we can achieve that effect in our non-jdm headlights?
well you already have the city lights (at least the GS does). Its the little bulb in the High beams housing. In others im not sure, usually you can just make a slot for it and then just wire it up.

I've seen them on many cars here. . .
You have to drill a small hole in your headlight, and you install a very small bulb/LED into the headlight housing.
You can also put in strobes this way, if you like.
Can't you just put in an LED in there? I wanna get white ones for my Soarer :) My friend's got them on his Nissan Pulsar hatch...
They seem pretty bright though... look at the reflection from his parking lights (city lights) on my front bumper...
