Very predictable results, M5 still the King of sports sedan
(it's still ugly though in silver
I can live with one in black, dark grey or dark blue
)

Quattroporte would still be my choice.
I would never take any of those sedans around a corner fast enough to make them look as they do in that last photo.
That being the case - Maserati will always get my nod for exclusivity and curb appeal - which is the whole point in this segment IMO.

The E55 gets my vote.
Definite MBZ elegant styling and the best wheels of the group, not to mention the brakes.
The new 5 series are ugly in light exterior colors and the Maserati has a funky nose.

the maserati is worth it because of its exclusivity... but as far as drivability is concerned, the M5 takes the cake.

Looking at the 3 cars again, I don't think the Masarati looks prettier than the M5. I find it's front end particularly unappealing, with it's grille & headlights, it looks more like an economy car rather than a high-end sports sedan to my eyes.

HOWEVER, //front end particularly unappealing//
agreed!
its hot and the interior of amg is a thumbdown!

Out of those three, I'd take the MB AMG.

P.S. It would be nice if Lexus can create such a sporty car. For example, an LS"500" with V-10 and 400HP would be sweet~~~

I'd write my check out to the Benz dealer in this case.
The Masarati sedan is one of the ugliest cars currently being produced. It doesn't deserve to wear its Italian badging.
It makes the M5 look really good in comparison.
