This is a great tutorial, which taught me how to do shots like the ones below. You can find your own method of mounting the tripod, depending on how your car is setup. For me, I just squashed my tripod underneath my headrest, set the timer for 20 sec shutter -- popped the car in neutral, had one person holding the wheel at a sharp corner and had two other people push the car.

Thanks :) Actually posted that up a while back. There's a lot of noise in that one. I took that one with my PowerShot G5 -- have yet to take one w/ my digital rebel.

You can also do shots from another car. But you need 3 x as many people and 2 x as many cars. ;)

Try a shutter speed about 1/125s:
