Photography Assignment 1 -- Habits (Submissions: 3)
Start & End Date:
January 19, 2005 - January 29, 2005
Introduction:
To spice up everyone's creative side and help people practice their photography skills, we've decided to do a weekly snapshot of the week thread. This is not a contest but just something for everyone to have fun with. Those who are interested in participating weekly can use this to gain feedback and tips and tricks. Every week there will be a different subject/topic. Also, because we are starting this on a Wednesday, this subject will last a little bit longer so that every other Snapshot of the Week thread will start on the Sunday of that week.
Subject:
Habits -- Take a photo of any habit that you routinely find yourself doing. It could be drinking too much coffee in the morning, smoking, etc. Try and be creative. Please try and title your photo if you want.
Post your submission as a reply into this thread.
Have fun everyone and I'm excited to see how far we can take this weekly event!

This sounds like a fun idea but I can't think of any habits to take a good picture of (I can't capture a habit in one image). Maybe hobbies would be a good topic?

Here's my REAL bad habit ...
EDIT: Everyone's been asking me, and NO .... NO PHOTOSHOP.
SHOT EXPLANATION:
Strapped a tripod to the backseat of my car using both seat belts. Used my 18-55mm kit lens and set it wide open to 18mm and to make sure it was sharp I set the aperture to f/9. Also, that allowed me to run a longer exposure time without washing out the picture. Exposure/shutter time was set to 10 seconds. SO during those 10 seconds I had to keep my butt still. The crazy light show is South College St. with cars and buildings whizzing by for 10 seconds.
Also, had my door open slightly so my footwell LED's would light up to give the shot an interesting color.
Speeding!

Damn Johnny! Talk about doing the "hard" stuff I'm trying to kick smoking as well. Been trying for a while. Guess I'm not trying hard enough.
I love how the Guinness is sitting on your wheel. I also like the way you placed the cigs and popped a few of them out like that. Nice detail and creative setting! Good stuff!!

Took about 10 shots. I can post them all in one thread if you wish. They are all pretty interesting.
