This thing is damned hideous. The Forester forum has been talking about it for a while, and the general consensus is that's it's pretty damn ugly.
It looks like a freakin' Ford! And it looks like they raised it about 3 inches too. Hella awkward to me. Looks more like an SUV now and less like a sportwagon.
Actually, SexySC, I AM happy because I think mine looks better.
Thanks for posting this, Mike................you just made my day.
The interior shot there, though the picture doesn't say, appears to be the new updated L.L. Bean Forester. This is a vehicle I was seriously interested in...along with the new Legacy / Outback. I looked at the Forester L.L.Bean when it came out a few months ago but I was not impressed with the lack of wood paneling inside for a top-of-the-line product, even though the rest of the interior was done well. The beige-interior ( not the black interior ) 2005 Legacys and Outbacks have excellent fake wood....some of the best I have ever seen. I strongly suggested to Subaru several times......even as late as the D.C auto show last month..... to at least put fake wood in the L.L. Bean Forester...and it looks like they HAVE put in some...although the picture doesn't show if it is on the door panels.
The only real question I have is that since that is obviously a right-hand drive model, is that a Japanese or British-market version only ?

Anyway, thanks for posting this up Mike.
wantAnewLex...you may think the Forester is ugly , and I agree that the body style won't win any beauty contests, but it is an excellent vehicle and, like the Legacy / Outback, is easily worth every penny it costs. This year they have finally spruced up the Forester's interior (see my last post), making it even nicer.

I believe all pics so far are of the Japanese models. The use of Altezzas is unforgivealbe.
