J...going through the same dilemma. I hope my added questions help get some responses, as I am not trying to hijack your thread, bro.

I have been looking at the Sony for a couple of weeks, but I have heard mixed reviews. I want an ultra-compact camera, but I don't want to lose too much image quality. I have heard that the Sony's image quality is pretty good, but not superb. Can anyone chime in on how it be for someone who just wants an extremely portable camera and only takes pictures of his family, friends, and car?

Thanks for any input.

Jeff

I have the Casio EX-Z50. It's a nice camera...light, compact, and easy to use. It has a fairly quick startup time and it doesn't take long to fire off several snapshots (so that you can take several pics of the girls arse in the club :) There are deals for them all over the internet now.

I haven't use the Casio yet, but it indeed has a viewfinder (if it's important for you). I was a previous owner of the T1. The Sony DSC-T1 has a larger LCD screen (2.5'). Some of the disadvantages of the T1 is the flash and not a hybrid screen (no anti-reflection coating, therefore, sunlight condition, you won't be able to see your LCD screen + plus there's no viewfinder). I sold my T1 and end up getting a T7 (I'm being honest! I sold it to get the T7 because it's slimmer and has a hybrid screen but the "flash" is still weak). Maybe, if you don't desire "too small" sony style digital camera, and want the sony brand, go for the T33 because it's a "tougher + solid built"?

be sure you've got a pair of steady hands... we suffered much from the tiny size of the sony t seriers until we became slightly more trained

Great point buddy! Totally agreed! It is indeed a small lil digital camera. Slight movement and *poof*, you get a blurred picture. It's about keeping your hands steady and lots of practiced :p
