Default My Night Motion Blur Experiments

Since these are hot now I took another stab at these...

First shot was the headrest technique. The last two was the same basic idea but with the tripod clamped to the trunk struts. The shadow on those shots on the rear quarter is the tripod. DOH

Pretty cool. How many seconds was it set? How fast were you pushing?

Three second shutter. Full EXIF in my gallery.

Pushing at maybe 2 - 3 mph? Higher speeds get longer blurs but less defined wheel spokes. Slower speeds start to to define the wheel spokes and you get the helicopter effect where the spokes are blurred but there's a frozen section of spoke that's nicer to see. Stopping the car completely while the pic is being taken will do a nicer job of integrating a still of the wheel within the blur.

So many things to try and play with.

where did all those decals come from?

Decals were removed. They were an experiment to try a few things and only temporary. I figured it was a good time to snap a pic. I'm not a huge fan of vynil to be honest.

Juan01, and Aristo,
