Tom Leykis: PETA pressures Mercedes to offer non-leather interiors
On Tuesday's 5pm PST show, Tom Leykis is talking about PETA pressuring Mercedes to offer non-leather interiors. Vegetarians will be pleased to learn that top luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz informed People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA Europe Ltd) that all future Mercedes-Benz models will be available with a leather-free option either at the dealership or via special order in all markets. This is all old news, but I only post it because Tom mentioned that his LS430 gets 12 MPG (!).

After a Mercedes owner called in and Tom mentioned he was test-driving them, the show predictably degenerated into a bunch of Mercedes and BMW owners trying to convince Tom to defect from his 8-year streak of owning LS400s and LS430s. I tried to call in, but no such luck.
He also mentioned his second car is a RAV4.
