Yes, it is a Toyota. Not a big deal to me. The people that called my Lexus a Toyota and my Acura a Honda are individuals that have no interest in automobiles, they drives 4-cylinder minivan, Ford Escort ....

i just agree with them b/c like jay-z said... "never argue with a fool b/c from a distance, no one can tell who is who"... lexus is made by toyota, but it is just ignorance if u ask me or jealousy as well to just say it IS a toyota. its kind of like saying that there is no difference in where you buy your sirloin steak, its ALL sirloin. but i would much rather eat a sirloin at a steak house than a chain restaurant b/c of the quality. idk, i drive a LEXUS, i paid for a LEXUS, IT IS A LEXUS!!

Well ... it is a fact that Lexus owns Toyota and that a lot of technology and knowhow is shared .
But nowadays, all the mainstream manufacturers own one or more high prestige brands ...
For instance,
Ford owns Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, ...
GM owns Saab
BMW owns Rolls Royce
Fiat owns Alfa Romeo, Ferrari and Maserati
VW owns SEAT, Skoda, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti, ...

We had a 1999 RX300 at our Volvo Dealership on trade and the owner came by to see it. He really liked it, but said its just a Toyota. I told him and Volvo is just a Ford. Yeah, he didnt like that one bit.
