your thoughts on prototype work on your lex?
So now I am a bit concered. NOT only do I need to pay 3k for the kit, I have to sign a liability waiver form (knew I would have to do this) and now they are telling me that I can't watch while they are working on my NEW LS...
Is it just me or does something sound off?
imho, if you are not allowed to see it, i wouldn't even touch it. my car has been used for couple of prototype testing, big or small, before. every time i asked them i have to see them work and they agree. seriously, it's not something major, not like they are making a bomb, why can't you see it. after all it's your freaking 60k car, not theirs....
signing the waviers that make sense, coz' after all you are prototype. but man, 3k?! i know it's a 6/4 setup, but paying 3k (i suppose that's their cost) for the brakes and not even be able to see it, umm.....
i wonder what company it is. i can only have one guess

The BBK will be coming from Rotora. I agree that 3k is a bit much, but with the new 20"s I need to get some better stopping power.

but either way, i would probably still request my car to be seen at all time during the test fit. it's not like you aer trying to steal their technology or so

I still have to pay, it's not free,I would definitely want to watch the whole process.

Tell them if you can't watch, they can't work. Then tell them if by some odd chance you do decide to do it and they won't let you watch, you'll post a full writeup with 100 pics from every angle on how to do it onto the interweb, and never mention their name.
You paid for it, you own it. Nothing they can say.
