Thanks for the great pics. I wasn't able to make it this year (again), but there's always next year.
I was kinda sad to read that my home boys from Chicago couldn't bring home the gold though.

Nice pics, and even better cars. I love Supras.
I noticed that most of the Automatic Supras were able to obtain higher HP numbers. Why is that?? Auto tranny is stronger, or is it just coincidence.

Not sure but the auto trannies they're using are most likely GM 3 or 4 speeds. The vid we had up here of the 8 sec Supra had a 3 speed I'm pretty sure. For pure track speed they're gonna choose an auto, and the fastest ones are probably for the drag strip, so I would guess that's why.

When Marko's car made 1500+ hp, they were running with no wastegate on the car... so basically.. they let the turbo go as high in PSI as it wanted to.
They were TRYING to break the engine, to test what needs to be stronger.
So, needless to say, the reason this was lower, is because the boost was controlled.

Well I hear that the two cars that beat them out were race prepped. Marko's car has air and all - about 600 lbs heavier than the two winning cars. So 3rd place is not too bad.
