You can go under models and click GS 350. Can you please explain what it says? Power ratings possibly? Thanks.

I've asked the same question in the 2006 SC430 thread, & Henry said his wife can read Japanese & offered to ask her, but it doesn't look like it has much details on the site yet.

Good find Mike. I think the GS350 will share the engine from the IS350. I think it will launch in Japan by June 2006 and we will get it by Sept. 2006 along with the GS4.

I thought the GS350 will be launched in Japan in a few months when they officially introduce the Lexus brand in Japan this year ?

What they might do despite the fact the official launch is in the 3rd quarter of 2005 is to sell the vehicles a few days or weeks prior to official launch, just like how the new GS was sold to the American public on February 15 which was 14 days before it's offical launch date.

I know, but what I was addressing above is that VVT-i said the GS350 will be launced in Japan June 2006, not 2005

My bad, for some reason I'm keep thinking of June 2006 for the Lexus launch. I'm sorry for the confusion.

waiting to release the new engines, my guess is it keep the car on top and ahead of M35/45 new body style lots of gadgets brings in the customers, a year later they drop in the new engines and bada boom, the cars still hot then they slowly release the hybrid version 450h, cars rolling for the 1st 3 years, what does Infiniti have a hybrid I don't think so, it has to be all marketing guys doing this in order to keep sales on the up and up

year 4 brings a mild facelift

You're hitting the nail right on the head.

First the GS300 with 245 hp and the same old GS430, but they can drop the hammer with the GS350 with more hp and the new engine for the GS4 in the future.. And then the Hybrid later on, in form of V-6 and V-8.
