I dont think you can buy those at a regular Ford dealership(that wont look right taking your 400K+ car to a Ford dealership for service). There was some show on TLC that I saw about the Saleen S7 and a customer was actually at the Saleen shop picking up his car. They did a great big unveiling of the car amoung other things.

I saw that episode also
Yeah, I wouldn't want to buy an S7 on the lot, they need to roll out that red carpet treatment
However, I see Maybachs on the lots. I wonder what kind of treatments do you get when you buy those

AHA...that episode was awsome. Damn sexy car.
Yeah, my friend actually worked as a lot jockey for a MB dealership over the summer to make some quick cash, and he said that they go through the same unveiling too. They pull it into the showroom and talk to you about the car and such. I'm not so sure if it was as extensive as the Saleen where they actually had the engineers talking to you about the car.
Since I never got the opportunity to purchase a brand new Lexus yet, do most dealerships do something different?? Like at least pull it on the curb area or showroom and talk to you about the car?? Like make a big deal about it?? That would be soo cool. Make me look extremely important. LOL.
That car might have been kind of cool as a $20K alternative to the Eclipse, Evo, MR2, etc. But $150K? They must be smoking something in Flint.
As an aside, the last time I was at my local Lexus place they had a used GT on the lot. I guess somebody saw the light and already dumped the thing...
More likely, the owner signed the papers for it, got it home, and found out what it really costs to own come payment time, what insurance would be, and what it was like trying to drive around with no ground clearance and scraping everything, they decided that, like Mike Tyson in the ring, they had bitten off more than they could chew.
I agree with you that this car is not worth 150K........but 20 ? Come on.
I would estimate this car's realistic value at about what a Dodge Viper or Corvette Z06 would run....around 65-75K.

You're right, of course. I wasn't trying to be realistic, but just looking at that cheesy skunk-stripe paint job and the straight-from-the-NASCAR-circuit interior... Well, I can't see paying anywhere near the asking price. Maybe they should have gone a little smaller on the engine, cut out God-knows-what that got the price that high, and made it as a more realistic option for a wider audience.
