I just bought a Kodak EasyShare DX7630 6.1MP. Its a really cool camera, and takes some outstanding pics. Better than I thought it would be. However, this camera has so many features its rediculous. Now I tried reading this novel of a manual to understand what aperture, shutter, exposure compensation, flash compensation, ISO speed, and many other rediculous settings. I understood some of the stuff to a certain extent, but after awhile, I kinda get fed up with all this techno stuff and just forget when and how to use some of this stuff. It also has a whole bunch of scene modes(Portrait, Snow, Close-up, Backlight, Children, Night Portrait, Landscape, and probably 20 other settings). In certain modes(particularly in night mode), the picture doesnt come out right. When the flash goes off, the picture is actually darker than what it is suppose to look like. I dont get it. And in some other modes, if my hand is not steady enough, the screen would put up this blurry hand symbol and my picture would come out very blurry.

I'm not yet used to the digital camera stuff yet, as I just made the switch not to long ago, and I really didnt know that all this stuff even existed for cameras. Can someone explain to me what all this stuff means so I can better myself with picture taking??

it might help to do a search or read the manual thoroughly
