Was MIA for a while guys in Fort Lauderdale, FL for Spring Break. I ended up going with my girlfriend and three of her roommates. One of her roomies was up for me taking some shots while I was busy taking candids at the beach. I managed to snap off two decent ones. Opinions, comments?

I knew you'd probably be the first to reply :) If not, I was going to IM you the URL to this thread - hehe. My girl's doing good. About to go see her once I get out of the computer lab. I'm probably going to end up taking pictures of her once the weather clears up. Try a gold reflector on the sun shots. Plus, try to keep her a bit more angled from the sun as she looks like she's starting to squint. Not too comfortable for the models when the sun hits their eyes a certain way. Facial expression counts for alot. Second shot is a bit rough, but not bad for a first timer. Compostion is kinda wierd.

I'm trying to find shots from a recent shoot...but I'll give you her website instead.

Adrian, I can't believe I totally forgot! I plan on going back in the summer. We will meet up!

Just go over to your local fabric store and look for gold colored fabric. They should also have silver there too. Buy some of the fabric, then wrap it around a cardboard base. Much cheaper than the photo supply stores - they'll charge anywhere from 50 to 100 bucks, and you'll probably only spend about 5 dollars, depending on how much fabric you purchase.

The gold/silver reflectors just cut down on the harsh shadows. Works great though. :)
