1993 Honda Civic vs. 1993 Lexus SC300
I know an sc300 in 1993 was over $40k, and im pretty sure a new civic was no more than20K .Granted theres an occasional fsuper mod sc w TT w/30k miles for $15K. Buti can find either FS at about 4K.in the same condition. Maybe im missing something.butdont think anyone would say a civic is even close to an SC in anyway.
Im not complaining since i bought ine for less than 4k and have been driving it for 4 years now, and would never been able to pay 40k or even 20 k for that matter. But its gotta suck if you did buy new. And now you cant even use it as a down payment.
It doesnt make sense to me. Anyone have a view on this , I cant see it being supply and demand since civics were abundant. perhaps im missing something? Is it due to repair costs? or just the fact that original Lex owners tend to have the means to basically throw it away when they wanted a new car? or some other reason?
