View Full Version : How can I make these night shots better?

If any of you have any suggestions on how I can make these shots better, please feel free to share. One thing I want fix is how the lights look in the pictures. I want them more clear and less like a blur of light. I want that "starlike effect".

try lower ISO, smaller aperture, and long shutter (5-10 seconds)

The lowest my camera will allow is an ISO of 50. I don't think I can manually adjust the shutter speed. I have a casio EX-Z50 and there are preset options for different situations i.e. low light, portrait, landscape, etc. So is this the best that my camera will do?

you can't manually change the f stop or have a long shutter setting?

that's basically how i learned to get the star effect... by reading brendan's pictures posts...

here's a pic i took recently of my other car. not sure if all the settings are optimal. notice on full resolution that the pic is a bit grainy.

f/5.6
5 sec shutter speed.
