So I'm getting ready to buy the car...and I'm testing things out. I test out the emergency flashers...and all of a sudden I hear the damn fuel pump go on!!!!...Let me tell you folks there is a big difference between a solid blue wire with a green stripe and a solid green wire with a blue stripe...I guess the previous owner didn't know that. :egads: :egads: :egads:

that's a great deal you picked up there, but look out for quality issues!! bmw's dont come near the dependability of toyota/lexus.... the car i owned before my gs4 was an 87 bmw 325....that tiny car had an inline six too, so it wasnt in any way a slug...but by the time i got rid of the thing at 175K miles, almost EVERYTHING (alternator, tranny, catalytic, fuel TANK, radiator, fans, belts, thermostat, electrical wiring, o2 sensors, distributor cap) had failed and had to be replaced! bmw's are expensive to maintain! good luck to ya!

Well I'm just having fun with it since I just got it....If it gives me hell I can turn around and sell it for like $5000 now with the AC fixed and all the other little stuff I can probably get like $6500-$7000.
It's a piece of junk, but man can it hold it's value!
I appreciate the kind words fella's and I really miss you guys!

WOW BRO, we talked a couple weeks ago and you kept this news all to yourself.
That is really really AWESOME NEWS!!
Knowing you as I do, this car is GOING TO BE SICK and JOE is just the man for the job to get this bad boy fixed, modded, and tearing up the asphalt down south.
Florida or Carolina. Talk to me Bro.
For some ofthe CL newbies, XSUPERJOEX, or as I like to call him, KING OF ALL LEXUS MODS, Joe is a LEGEWNDARY CL MEMBER and a super nice guy who is willing to give the shirt of his back to help someone out. A real CLass Act.
Please keep us posted with the news and the pics. Keep'em coming.
I;m gonna drop you a line soon.
Peace,
Ted

If you can do work like THAT in 11 hours  .....and the car doesn't catch fire the first time you crank it over.....you should be a BMW technician. Not only do they make GOOD money, but the crappy electronics in today's BMW's virtually guarantees them a steady supply of work.

Green with blue stripe... blue with green stripe... it's all the same!
Back when I installed car stereos and alarms, one of the other installers (who is a dead-ringer for Kris Kristofferson, by the way) was colorblind. Typically, colorblind people have difficulty distinguishing colors in certain wavelengths (they don't see in black and white!).
This was fun when he was installing alarms... "hey Bob, is this wire brown or red?"
Just be careful with the wires that are have yellow wire loom covering them. Cut into one of those, you'll likely hear a quick pop... and then you'll need to replace the air bag(s)!
Nice going- looks like you've got a runner!
