2006 Toyota RAV4........HOLY CRAP!!!! GIRL CAR NO MORE!!!
AlI I can say is that IF this car ends up looking anything near this, we're trading in our Corolla S. The production version will debut later this year at the Tokyo International Auto Show. New RAV4 will be in dealer lots December 2005 and a V6 version in February 2006!! http://www.donlen.com/buildstart_toyota.asp
I like this one better,though it's a chop.
Well, two things. First, you say Girlie car no more? Never was to start with....just another untrue stereotype. Second, it shows you how much opinions can differ on the same vehicle. You would trade a Corolla S to get one. I think the front end looks like my neighbor's English Bulldog.
However, if you can get past the new Winston-Churchill front end, the RAV4, at last in AWD versions, is an excellent year-around vehicle. The AWD will handle rain and snow and the high ground clearance allows easy work and hose-off cleaning underneath and will allow it to go some places a regular car won't, although it is not a hard-core off-roader. The hatch-type rear gives cargo room for groceries, supplies, or whatever you want to haul. It's not a Viper but has enough power for moderate, normal driving, has good gas mileage even with AWD, and, like most Toyotas, has an excellent repair record. You could do a lot worse.

Well, the majority of people I see driving the RAV4 is women here in Cali, but I never said it was a bad vehicle Anyhow,my fiance' owns the Corolla S not me so this suits hers needs, AND it's a Toyota...which is important to her.
the first and second pics dont even have the same tail lights... and the second pic just has rx330 tail lights PASTED onto the back end, then shrunk down some
They should upgrade the rear door (trunk) so it opens up like a hatchback and not like a giant door. In tight spaces opening and closing that large door may be very difficult.

The Corolla S is surprisingly popular in this area. I think a lot of people buy it because of its bulletproof reputation combined with just a little more sportiness....although the car it is based on is just about as conservative as any small car on the market can be.
I see a lot of females in RAV4's too, but I don't believe in stereotypes.....never did. People should buy and drive what suits their needs...or wants.....best.
