Seriously, with enough money, anything can be made fast, but a van is not a very smart idea. Even if you're able to smoke a Viper, you still have to worry about flying off the road cuz that boxy thing is simply too unstable.
This was posted more than a year ago, though I can't find the thread.
Sorry, if I can't find the thread, it probably means this isn't a repost on CL after all (even though it has been circulating around the net for more than a year). I'll add my comment now and say yes it is a true sleeper and the idea of blowing away other boy racers in a minivan while watching their facial expressions is great!
The thing with those vans isn't that they just randomly took a van and dumped money into it, it's that they came (for some reason) from the factory, with turbos! Now, in the era of the tuner, anything with forced induction is open to get modded, including full sized pick ups and yes, minivans.
I don't mind getting beat by a minivan even if I was pushing 400hp. I'd be **** if he didn't duct tape some body panels down and they flew off at high speed to hit my car.
Couldn't the owner do something about the look or at least put the setup in a better looking van? That thing looks hideous, as close to a Pontiac aztec as any vehicle in recent memory can get. Reminds me of a Vegas cab. Suprising no ones called it a POS yet cuz that's what those 80s vans are, they're rattle traps, built like crap. A junky van will always be a junky van no matter how much money one dumps into to make it fast. ANd I highly doubt it'll do anywhere near 12s on the street(traction limited from being a FWD. Only at the track where it's specialy prep with slicks and race gas can it hope to run it's full potential.

So we can't say putting 100k in a Honda is nuts but you can say its ugly and is a POS and they should get a better setup.
