I wish I could say this was mine, but my bro's rommate out in San Diego just got a brand new 2005 Suzuki 1300R Limited Edition.... also known as the mighty "Hayabusa". For those of you not familiar, Its the fastest production bike on the face of this earth (although I heard on some TV show some other company is coming out with a rival bike that may be even faster). 1300CC 4 cylinder engine, 11k redline, MSRP $11,000. The Limited model comes with a metallic gunmetal gray paint scheme. I can't wait to see this thing in person!!!
dumb question (so dont flame me PLEASE)... but is $11k a lot for a bike?? i like bikes, but i'd rather sit in the confines of a car, so i doubt i would get a bike, but i was just wondering

Haven't priced a Harley lately Hmmm?
A neighbor going through mid-life crisis bought a $24K Harley show bike that's nothing really special - just a few chrome bolt-ons and some aftermarket lights that short out occasionally, making the thing pretty iffy after-dark transportation . . . It's noisy, shakes like a 25-cent vibra-massage gone mad, and is about as crude as a meat cleaver.
Thank God yuppies with plenty of disposable income are all over these things - my Harley-Davidson (HDI) stock has been doing quite well for the last few years, thank you! If I were to buy another bike, I'd take my profits and buy something much quicker, more comfortable, and a whole lot more sophisticated.
Hey I have a question for you bikers. How tall do you need to be to ride a regular Japanese sports bike? I always found those bikes too high for me to sit on it with my feet touching the ground.
