I would have thought the Lexus CC would be available to the whole North American market. Dang...it sucks to live in a country that usually gets the good stuff first. :egads: mmarshall 06-29-05, 12:29 PM Wow i'm surprised. I would have thought the Lexus CC would be available to the whole North American market. Dang...it sucks to live in a country that usually gets the good stuff first. :egads: Apparantly it is available here......I got a solicitation for one in the mailbox last night. N2LEX2L 06-29-05, 01:32 PM ...APR was a a lot higher than my current card and saw no real benifits in getting it  short answer no. flipside909 06-29-05, 02:05 PM ...APR was a a lot higher than my current card and saw no real benifits in getting it  short answer no. Well if the balance is paid in full every month, the APR shouldn't make a difference. ;) flossn 06-29-05, 03:34 PM Just got mine in the mail today! The rate isn't that great but I pay them off every month and the rewards should help out with service bills! Tony blacksc400 06-30-05, 06:17 PM I want one so bad, lexus send me mails about it but hey!! 13.99%??? give me a break!! My CC cards with highest APR is 5.99%! Krupski2 08-14-05, 09:24 PM I don't need 1...I already have enough!!! GS Kid 300 09-03-05, 03:24 PM I want one.. but im only 17.. O. L. T. 09-03-05, 03:33 PM I applied for one, but they wouldn't give it to me :D There are 2 levels to the "LEXUS" Credit Card. Level one is a no limit "black card" Level two is a standard fixed interest CC like most others. I applied for the level one and was rejected because I am not a the 850 beacon. I rejected the level two card due to high interest. blaznsc4 09-04-05, 09:02 AM been using my lexus cc for 2months now. i dont really care for the interest since i pay it all off at once. JJG2005 09-25-05, 11:13 PM How good does your creidt have to be to be considered for this card do you guys think? I'm 18 and just started building credit, but I hope to be around a 650 or so in two months. JJG2005 10-18-05, 09:13 PM Hmm I applied over the phone yesterday but I think she may have chosen the no limit card for me now that I realize there are two options... hopefully they can do something about it tomorrow edit: Talked to the same CS woman that I dealt with before... she said that if you don't qualify for the no limits card that you are automatically considered for the regular CC MSMLexIS 10-19-05, 05:48 PM I got mine in july and i really like it. You get 5 times the point if you buy something at the dealership. And you can get up to $3000 off a new lexus. Sounds like a steal to me. IS3CM 10-31-05, 07:15 AM Not yet. But I think I'm going to get it. JJG2005 12-11-05, 10:49 PM They turned me down... this is the only credit card I really wanted  I'm still 18 and working on building my credit, paid every bill on time every time, but only had a few months of credit history at the time. I'm going to get my score up to 750 or so by February / March and re-apply Mz L*Tuned 12-13-05, 12:22 AM I want one soooo bad, but I'm afraid to apply because I heard if you apply for too many credit cards within so many months will affect your credit history. I haven't exactly applied for any credit cards in a long while, but I'm planning to buy a new Lexus next year and I'm afraid if I apply for this card, it might get on my record. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ;) JJG2005 12-13-05, 12:51 AM I want one soooo bad, but I'm afraid to apply because I heard if you apply for too many credit cards within so many months will affect your credit history. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ;) Do you have any late payments or collections on your credit? If not one inquiry won't hurt you much at all, especially if your next major purchase is a year away. It will go on your Equifax report only, and from what my Lexus dealer was telling me they typically pull a Transunion score. So... if your dealership is like mine, applying for the Lexus card won't hurt your chance of getting the car in a year in the least bit, unless you pay late on it. Oh, and my mom added me to one of her credit cards today. My reason for being declined initially was that I had "no equifax credit score" and "no credit history". By being added to my moms card I now have a good account opened for years, and combined with my other credit card I should be qualified for the Lexus card now.. but I'm going to wait a month until it improves a little further JJG2005 01-03-06, 08:59 AM Just pulled my credit score... Experian is at 743, so Equifax shouldn't be far behind, especially since I have fewer inquiries on that report. I'm going to re-apply for the Lexus card now, we'll see what happens! Edit: Received 4,000 credit limit @ 16% interest... thats not too bad for being 18 and not being able to get the card a month or two ago when I last applied. The interest doesn't really bother me since I don't charge anything I can't pay off right away... just glad to show my love for Lexus while building my credit, lol. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ;) check this info for credit rating explanations http://alliancejefflee.com/library.html?library_dir_name=creditrating and I have the Lexus Card...don't use it much xknowonex 01-04-06, 10:31 AM how selective are they as far as credit score???? heck for 13.99 they cant be that hard is4me2 02-22-06, 01:52 PM Been using the card since Nov. Only have about $40 in "reward" dollars to use towards repair, oil changes, etc. Was planning to put my new Lexus purchase on the card to get more reward dollars. The dealership told me that their policy is that I could only put $5,000 on the card toward the purchase. Plus, the rewards expire six years from the date earned. I'm not real excited about the card. Use my Starbucks credit card all the time. It is very generous with the reward dollars and they add dollars to your account based on usage and they send gifts all the time. vborder 02-23-06, 12:24 PM I want one soooo bad, but I'm afraid to apply because I heard if you apply for too many credit cards within so many months will affect your credit history. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ;) This is true... tonydt1g3r 02-24-06, 02:06 PM no offense but isnt this card garbage, its liek 1% for all purchases and 5% back for lexus stuff you buy but its only good towards purchases at lexus. While if you get a chase rewards card its 1% back on everything 5% back on gas and grocheries and you get that cash back :D onlylexus8 02-25-06, 10:08 PM so i got 100% approved for a loan to buy my lexus, and denied for the credit card. lol. JJG2005 02-26-06, 05:06 PM You can have a few inquiries per year without it effecting your credit score.... Experian claims that 1-2 inquiries won't have any impact, and 2-6 will knock your score down by 5 or so points... but it varies SO much that there is really no way to tell. Plus, Lexus Financial Savings Bank pulls Equifax...and Equifax has removed all of my inquiries (about 8 or so) without any problem. The Lexus card is just cool... lol. Chase is better (I have the Chase rewards card as well) but I've been putting eBay purchases on my Lexus card... I buy items to resell, sell them, and pay off the card in full every month... while collecting points to use towards accessories from the dealer in the spring time  Plus the comments from bartenders, coffee shop people, cashiers, etc when they see your card are pretty cool. !SPEED 02-27-06, 10:29 AM Earlier I said I was getting the Lexus card for travel. (1.5 for every dollar spent. Any airline, no blackouts, etc.) They charge $60 a year for this. Got the card and called today to get the skinny on how it works. This is what they said. They put your points in a cash pool and when your ready to use them, you can call their travel agent or use your own. The formula they use is points divided by 150. So if you spend $20,000 a year and receive 30,000 points then divide that by 150 you get $200. :thumbdn: That's no better than card offers that have been around for years! If you use your points at a Lexus dealer the divider is 100. Better but about average with most cards I suspect. I guess the big advantage is if you use the card at the dealership where they give you more points. That hardly works for me since the nearest dealership is two states over. So I told them they could take their card and ---- Mike GS4fun 03-01-06, 05:49 PM I'm up to $600 in rewards dollars now... Brian231 05-17-08, 12:56 PM I have been tempted to sigh up just as a matter of principal, but who really needs another CC (LOL). |
