MY favorite BMW, the only one that sparks my interest. I must say though, that new AC Shnitzer 7 series looks pretty mean  All cars can look good if you go the AC Shnitzer route ;)

Exactly! The tails look awkward. The overall car is not that bad at all!

BTW, I could have sworn i've seen these pics before...possible repost.

Perhaps that's the reason ;) :

i hate the styling... and honestly, i like the 5 series styling better than this.. for some reason this car reminds me a bit of volvo

Infiniti deck lights on a BMW?! Why, it can't be!!! Did all the design people go through the same school, have the same teachers? It's like Chris Bangle rules the auto design world. :thumbdn:

IS350 > 330i overall IMO, and I'm a sport sedan freak, my realistic near future dream car WAS a 330i!

But I think the 3 will out-handle the IS much like the 5 did the GS.

The regular 330i does not even outhandle the G35 coupe if you go by many handling stats by the mags., but subjectively speaking, it depends on who you ask ;)
I'll admit though that driving the 3 series has a unique tactile feel that's never been duplicated by any other brands, it'll probably be the same for the new IS. The ride quality of the 330i is also a little better than the G35.

THe 5 doesn't outhandle the GS are you kidding me? The M5 would whip it though.

Actually, stock for stock, the 5 series out handles the GS easily. And yes, I have driven both. My friend has a 540, and I drove it to compare with my gs. Now after I put the Tein's on my GS I can easily take him in the corners, plus I'm a better driver.

driven the 325i, can't say I've driven the IS for obvious reasons. Look, I'm not here to troll, just sharing what I've read and/or experienced. Sorry if I'm ticking you off, didn't mean to. Just taking car mag's thoughts on the 5 being a better handling car compared to the GS, and simply making the assumption that if both lower class cars are compared, we'd achieve fairly similar results. BMW stuck with the same formula they've always used; incredible weight distribution, great engine tech, sporty suspension for the 3. I'm sure Lexus will use ideas they've previously input on lets say, the GS, into the IS. Again, I'm not here to offer BS or waist time, just sharing my opinion.

So these are the 3-series Sport spy shots?? meaning that they launched this car without an available sport package?? Wow, thats very un-BMW like... how soon will this sport package be available?

Regardless of whether the new IS or 3-series physically handles better, I'm pretty sure that people will still find the BMW having more feedback and sporty feel than the IS... Its not that Lexus couldn't do it, but I guess it would involve making the IS have a less compliant and non-Lexus ride quality.
