I had the llumar installed and it has been great. No problems with the tint scratching or anything.

Other good brands to consider. Solargard, 3M & HuperOptic (most expensive).

I've always used and applied Johnson's window films and have had some experience with Lumar window tint. Have NEVER had a problem with either. I recommend Johnson's though...due to ease of application and longevity of the product.

I was thinking of huperoptik.. $500 for all four windows including front windshield.. i can afford it but not sure if I want to haha.

We'll see. The llumars are costing me 225 all around, including fornt windshield.

I just got Llumar on my GS and love it. I've had it on several other cars too with no problems. 5% all around is nice but I went with 20% up front and 5% on all the others this time.

I went with the Llumar platinum mirrored tint, 30 % up front, 20% in the back. It was done for 300 bucks, and I love it. Looks different than the other tint you see on the road.

Have heard 3M is crap, but have no experience with it. BMW dealers tend to use it, though, IIRC. I have SunTek stuff, been okay so far. Looks pretty good, seems to reject heat and hopefully UV well. If I had to do it again, I'd get some kind of ceramic, and would thus go with HO, which seems to be regarded as the standard.

3M actually has one of the best films out there, just harder to come by and a little more expensive than the average. HO is the industry standard. Clarity and color are bar none.

I would love to get Llumar(Ive heard of great thingas about them) by the end of August on my cars, but the problem is that I dont think any tint shop in Jersey sells such high quality tint(well that I'm aware of). I dont frequent the shops but they all seem to be selling this cheap looking tint. a lot of my friends got tint from this one place and its not even put on properly(cut wrong, dot matrix area etc) plus the quality of the tint is not up to my standards. Any Jersey heads want to point in the right direction?? Does Llumar have a website??
