WSJ: Toyota To Import Vitz To USA

In an article dealing with the sudden popularity of small cars in the United States, a Toyota executive told the reporter that a U.S. version of "a popular minicar currently sold in Japan as the Vitz" will be imported starting in the Spring of 2006.
The article also mentions the Chevrolet Aveo, and its' forthcoming redesign due "soon". It goes on to state that Nissan and Honda are also "looking to grab a piece of the action".
The article states that GM has no plans to offer a vehicle smaller than the Aveo
