Guys, look, its already BAD, we got Lambo doors on cars that are not Lambos. Even on sedans. And I cannot lie, it was cool maybe 2 years ago, right before EVERYONE thought it was cool to add.
But today, its LAME. Don't do it. Its old. Played. Ridiculous. And after seeing every car possible with them at NOPI, it just confirms, the gene pool could use some chlorine.
Some of the doors don't fit right, they don't go up all the way, and why have a STOCK car or interior for all to see, with LAMBO doors??
I mean, do what you do. But, IMO, you get the :thumbdn: :thumbdn:

amen to that. i know there are a few members here with it. like mike said, it's cool with me, do what you like. but imho that's just a very bad touch to the car. usually i just stay out

I wholeheartedly agree. My friend's brother put lambo doors on his Civic coupe and they fit like crap, the door does not line-up as good as it did when it was stock, and they hand to bend part of the fender to get it to close without problems. It's absurd if you ask me, it ruined the car! :cry:

i actually like the lambo doors if put on a 2 door car..
i really really dont like them o a 4 door car (1 exception i saw at nopi)
but other than that i think they are ok.. i mean if done PROPELY..
i got people in my club who doors fit just as good and line up perfectly.. but you always got people doing it the cheap way and puttin bad anme on it.

In the beginning when not many people had it there was a WOW factor. It was unique and different and I admired the work, although I would never do this to my car. But now that everyone has it, it is played out. :thumbdn:

Yeah I'm tired of seeing Lambo doors myself. Lambo doors on anything besides a Lambo was always corny to me.
I dont think Lambo doors are the Devil, as some others do. I just really feel they should only be on a certain type of car. For instance the company LSD uses a modded Mercedes R230 SL with Aero Kit, aggresive fit MAE 20" wheels, and really low stance to promote their kits, and on a car like that they kinda work (it puts me in the mind of the HAMANN Gullwing M3 concept). Also if you have a clean car like the SL with simple mods (aero, wheels, ice) and you want to add carshow pizzazz I understand the lambo doors, especially a company like LSD which allows you to open the door in a conventional manner (stealth lambo doors LOL)
There is also a wicked turbo supra on the east coast show scene with 19" HRE's, full chrome engine, lowering, ICE and NO kit, and on that car they work, because the exterior is so simple, it adds a little twist to a otherwise clean car.
I think it all goes to crap when installed on a 94 honda accord station wagon, or lincoln navigator. I am not the judge and jury for modding, but I personally just dont think lambo doors flow well on 4 door cars, they always look "stubby" to me. I think when you see them installed on all of these odd cars (like 88 Honda civic wagon, or the ford f150 :eek2: ) is when the negative views really get heated.
I think 2 door cars with frameless doors work the best with these conversions. Its always funny to see a guy with a framed door swing it and duck to avoid cutting his own head off LOL

It's just like everything else that is considered "cool". To be "cool" by American standards, is to be exclusive. I think most people will agree to that. Once everyone is doing what was once considered cool, it then becomes common place.
Everyone should have Lambo doors, expecially big SUV's. We would all live in a door ding free world. Rejoice......

Yea they are LAME. If you watched Top Gear last week Jeremy absolutly bashed the gull wing doors on the Lambos. Impractical, in your face, gimmicy garbage.
