These were on sale at Barnes and Nobles for only $14.98 (and if your a member like me, you get a 10% discount).
The Ultimate History of Mercedes-Benz (new SLK on the cover)
The Ultimate History of BMW (Z4 on the cover)

I looked at they seem to be published by the same company that I have another book, The Ultimate History of Porsche

I've only read the BMW book (I read fast) and learned tons, TONS TONS!! Now I have more ammo to debate with :D

The pics are great and the writing is pretty straight forward and its recent up to 2004 info, which is impressive. I'm a history buff, so it really gives me a grin to see how these companies have progressed over decades.

Well I must have missed that chapter, along with the chapter on how this country was built using slave labor, or the Mass Genocide in Rwanda, and the black plauge wiping out the human population twice.

I also missed the chapter on how Hernado Cortes defeated the Aztecs because he had smallpox, how American Indians were systematically wiped out in Americaand told to move to reservations to die and of course, the 100 years war (which lasted 116 years).

Some of those POW's had the last laugh. One reason the Germans lost the war was that so many of their vehicles ( and other factory-produced items) broke down so much due to....shall we say....... production " slip-ups ;) "

You know, I've always been pondering buying those books every time I go into Borders. They are usually a bit pricey but if they had always been $15 I would have bought them already. Good to know they are good reads!!! Might have to take a trip to Borders later tonight!
