Did you buy a 5th rim to be a spare? What do you guys do if you get a flat in one of your, lets say, 20" rims?

Most people try and size their tire so the diameter is similar to the original stock rim.

unless you have 20s where most of the time your overall diameter is off. that's why if you have 20s and get a rear flat, you should put your front wheel in the back and the spare in the front. otherwise good luck with the heat generated inside the rear differential

for me, i am SEARCHING for another set of wheels since i need two, one for my gs400 and one for sc430, both got bbk

And those of us that are going staggered.....well.....not much of an option.
put on the spare and get to the nearest tire dealer.

This is a wise move......failure to do so can lead to a speedometer and odometer with inaccurate readings and questionable warranty coverage.

Thats my biggest fear right know..... I have a supra spare for the front because of the Supra brakes but I'm begining to think to go back to stock brakes with Brembo rotors and EBC green stuff pads but in stock form.... that way if something happens you can use your stock wheels in the mean time.... I would do that setup for the front and rear and still have better stopping power than factory brakes... any opinions?

Yes, a good idea, but, obviously, only if the Brembo rotors and EBC pads are compatible with the stock calipers and hardware.

Yes, i just bought EBC green stuff pads for the rear and going to purchase Brembo stock size slotted rotors from tirerack.com.... They will fit stock calipers.... So now i just have to worry about the front i guess......

I'd call AAA since I don't have a spare in the trunk. SO far I'vew been very fortunate. I look my car over so much I notice nails in the tire before it goes flat. I just drive to a tire shop for repair.

- AAA
- Spare with matching diameter (not necessarily OEM) to the other wheels
- Full 4 wheel spare set

Where in the world would you keep 4 spare rims?

LOL. Also, this option is meant as a full swap while the main set is getting repaired. I hate having to drive around with one mismatched wheel.
