Nope, don't like it. It looks (a lot) like an Accord. Perhaps it will look better in person, but I'm not impressed with these pics. Looks very "Honda" to me.
I like the new look and improvement, but what it comes down to is RIMS, RIMS, RIMS. Put some more aggressive / sportier rims on a camry and you can transform this car into something more exciting than just a practical run of the mill vehicle!
WOW thats one nice lookin camry, good job toyota. Imo looks 06 avalon, 06 ES330ish. Now we need a TRD performance like mazda speed 6 then i'll mybe i'll hit it.
nice chunky rear bumper, i like the rear taillamps but i think (i think) they resemble the ES to much, not saying that thats a bad thing. i guess that they want to make this look like the 02-05 ES lineup from the rear. cant wait to see that the interior looks like, especially the XLE trim. looks like it gots some pretty aggressive fender flares from that side quarter shot. honestly im impressed
Camry design is interestingly different. I see how the headlights are changed from being swept-back to more like the current GS (but obviously without the inner headlight). The shape of the rear reminds me of that from the new Avalon. I really like the tailights this time around (can't stand the white/red/white or the red/white/red design from the current and previous gen) However, the aerodynamics and styling of the side still look like that from the current Camry.
As far as the specifics go, I have never understood why Toyota prefers to place the front emblem near the center-top of the grille, starting with the '02 model? This has always made me go every time I see it on the roads. Someone mentioned about the rim choice. I agree it's too conservative but this is probably the direction Toyota wants to go with this vehicle: a smooth, reliable, easy-driven vehicle that's not meant to be a sports car or whatever. I wonder if the new Camry will come with HIDs as an option or standard? That would be a nice item to have (they've already done it with the Sienna)
Alright I guess. I guess I'm just outdated, but these new cars all look too fat. I would have liked for them to keep it less fat and more long looking than that. I like the body of the current design because it looks long and looks even better when it's dropped. But I can't wait to see the SE model w/bodykit. For a bread and butter car, it's good.
the headlights are the 97-02 es300 headlghts, but the rear is subtle so cont really say much. this car should have been this generations camry since it flows so well with the 97-01 camry.
