View Full Version : NFL Coach of the Year?
Who do you think will win it? I'm sorta partial because I am a HUGE Bucs fan... but If you think about it, John Gruden did one HELLOVA job to get the Bucs bacn into the playoffs... 5-11 last year to 11-5 this year.

If not him, the I would say Tony Dungy or Lovie Smith.
bluelex 01-03-06, 05:44 AM I think it should be Lovie Smith. I mean come one we all knew the Colts were going to be good, mayb not this good but still we knew they would be pretty dam good. Noone knew or thought the Bengals would ever be this good. He turned this team right around and if he can keep this team together they'll be a power house for years to come..
I would also give Tom Coughlin some Votes, everyone was hoping for a 9-7 season and mayb sneaking into the playoffs. we thought of them being 11-5 and winning the East. Shoot if they could have kicked a feildgoal in seattle they would have been 12-4 and had a week off. He needs to get some real votes.
mmarshall 01-03-06, 07:19 AM A case could also be made for the Redskins' Joe Gibbs.( and I don't say that just because I live in the DC area ) After a string of several mediocre or incompetent coaches that didn't really know what they were doing ( none of them lasted much more than about 2 years ), even if the Redskins don't make the Super Bowl he at least has them in the playoffs for the first time since the late 1990's.
baddis es 01-03-06, 07:38 AM i say Lovie Smith....he deserves it most

you mean Bears...since Marvin Lewis is the head coach of the Bengals, who also has a strong case. But IMO, it's Lovie Smith.

Your right I meant to say Marvin Lewis...
lovie smith. easily. sentimentally, i would love for dungy to get it. anyone from atl wishing they had hired lovie instead of JM Jr?
Lexis11 01-03-06, 10:40 AM I agree Lovie smith but come on that defense is good with or without him and their offense stinks.
My vote goes to Beleichick, yes I am biased but seriously with all the injuries we had this year and how they managed to hold it together is just disgusting. We were playing like baggers from the local stop and shop at corner for a couple weeks.

Lovie would also be a good choice. As for ATL, Lets not write anything bad about JM JR. before he becomes a memeber and comes on here to curse us out :D
