Okay we have a great debate over the NFL coach of the year but what about MVP?
This is so hard with all the great players in this league and with some of the huge years some of the guys put up.
1.I think Shawn Alexander will win cuz he was just amazing this year breaking the TD record and running for 1880 yards with 27 TD's..averaged 5.1 yards per carry..
2. but man can't over look Tiki Barber and what he meant to our Giants..1860 yards..9 TD's..5.2 yards per carry and don't forget 530 Recieving yards
3. Peyton Manning- 3747 passing yards with 28 TD's and only 10 INT's 104 passing rating.
4. Carson Palmer- 3836 passing yards with 32 TD's and 12 INT's passing rating of 101
5. Tom Brady- 4110 passing yards 26 TD's 16 INT's But this guy carried this team with no running game.

I think Alexander takes it for me... he carried the team on some games on his back
plus, their passing game wouldn't be so open w/out him
so my  to Shaun

Welp I think Alexander will get it but honestly AGAIN I am voting for the home team and Brady. He carried this team and held up under some very trying times. But we cant win everything seeing no one can knock us off our domination of the league and all. :D

Tom Brady shouldn't even be on that list... he hasn't done ANYTHING special this season to merit MVP honors. There are so many other players this year in the NFL that have a much better stat count that could get them into the list. My vote goes to Alexander...

Tom Brady not on the list??????????????? Are you serious???? Bro have u seen the team he had to work with this year. Everyone was hurt from deion branch to corey dillion and Brady continues to get it done and at the end of the day he all he does is win.
Ya Alexander will prolly get it, he had a great year rushing but come on to say Brady not even on the list is absurd. Surprised u didnt say Chris Simms should win it.

Not saying ANYONE from Tampa should win it... even though I knew someone was going to bring it up. Brady hasn't done anything special to me. Don't just come back with saying that he has won three Super Bowls, because the last time I looked, they won those games by the skin of their teeth. I will admit that he has had to overcome a lot of adversity this year, but what about, lets say Trent Green. Same record, almost the same adversity and he has 96 yards less passing with on 23 less attempts. True, Brady does have 9 more TD passes, but he also has 4 more INT's. I don't see anything more MVP about Brady than I do Green. Either way, neither of them are going to get it. It's been written in stone that Alexander will get it. You don't lead the NFL in rushing and TD's and not get the MVP.

Tom Brady deserves to be on the list, he carried that team through all the injuries
that being said the MVP IMO is the best player on the best team...Peyton Manning
and the MVP of the Seahawks is Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson...my grandma could get 1000 yards behind that line

all those guys deserve to be on the list and even though alexander might win i really think tiki barber should get it. does most all purpose yards in nfl history mean anything. yeah alexander has the TDs but how many of those are in goal line situations and where would the giants be without tiki?

I'm not from New England or KC but I can't agree with you're comparison and opinion of Brady not belonging .
1) Trent Green had both Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson as RB's throughout the year and combined they rushed (rushed only) for almost 2,500 yards. Johnson would have shattered the single season rushing record if he played all 16 games. (1,750 rushing yards in 9 games). To try to even compare New England's rushing game with KC's is foolish. Dillon was hurt much of the season and Faulk, Heath, and a few others tag teamed the role from week-to-week.
2) Tony Gonzalez is the 2nd best TE in football behind Gates. Brady has no such weapon.
3) WR's at best are a push when compared to KC, ok maybe a little edge for Brady due to Deion Branch. But when you factor in the running game this is a moot point.
4) The main reason the Patriots finished 10-6 and not 11-5 is because of 2 reasons; a) they didn't need to win the last game, b) (and because of that) Brady (I believe) didn't play the last 3 quarters against Miami in order to save him for the playoffs.
Brady carried the Patriots (not to mention that he led the NFL in passing yards) and defined their attitude when things got tough and it looked like they were going to miss the playoffs (especially when the D was riddled with injuries). He led them to some very key wins when needed. Without Brady the Patriots wouldn't be in the position they are in. Going for the 3-peat.
Maybe he wasn't the MVP. Had KC made the playoffs, Johnson might have won it IMO. But since they didn't, the logical choices had to be Alexander and/or Manning. Since the Colts trailed off at the end and a lot of voters look at "what have you done lately" it made sense that Alexander got the nod. But had the Colts had to play their starters the last 2 weeks for either the 16-0 record or in order to clinch home field then Manning probably would have gotten it. Especially with a 16-0 record, but that is not here or there since it didn't happen.
Bottom line, Brady more than belonged in that group and anyone that thinks otherwise doesn't appear to be in touch with reality lMO. Just ask the 20% that voted for him.

Alexander deserved it. Manning had a team at work. The other guys also had the same thing going for them.
