At the Geneva Motor Show BMW will release the new 3-series Coupe. The photo is showing the new model in full showroom trim. Power for the CC comes from a variety of six-cylinder engines ranging from 2.2 litre 180 HP to 3.0 litre 258 HP. The top of the line M3 will get a V8 4.0 litre engine delivering around 400 HP. Furthermore three Diesels will be available performing 163 HP to 272 HP.

BMW Z4 Restyling
BMW’s Z4 has been on the market since 2002 and is about to undergo a minor facelift, due for launch equally in Geneva. The photo is showing a prototype with a few strips of tape for disguise

BMW Series 1 Three-Door
At the upcoming Geneva Motor Show BMW will also release the sporty three-door variant of the current Series 1 model which was available as a five-door only. The three-door’s side doors are larger, and the B-pillars are set further back within the wheel-base. The pictured prototype has no disguise, and judging from the double exhaust pipes the car is equipped with a 3.0 litre six cylinder fuel engine delivering about 250 HP. The 1-Series three-door model is expected to be in the dealerships from summer 2006 on.

i'm not digging that huuuuge crease on the side of the 3 coupe....

i'd so take an E46 over that any day...

Looks like somebody T-boned the back part of that 3 series :uh: I don't like the mirrors either, that is ugly. The headlights have a very stylish shape

Not big on Z coupes...M coupe/roadster wasn't my style and I doubt this one will be either.

1 Series could be a big seller here in the States, especially if it comes with that kind of power.

Not bad... but it looks so dated compared to the G35 Coupe Concept.

To be fair, the Coupe Concept is still a gaudy concept and was in a shiny showroom.

not too bad, at least it doesn't trigger the digusting look on my face :)

Oh man the 3 series is horrible, ugly as hell. The z4 is very nice, I like it. The 1 series is kinda not bad, but it looks like a 12,000 dollar car, somewhere along the lines of civic hatch, not 20k+ car.

I don't think I've said this about too many cars out there, but I think I prefer the sedan over this coupe. From this angle, the rear quarters and pillars are just looking too fat and honda "accordish." And that crease doesn't help.

The 3 series coupe is very mediocre looking. I need to see the back. There is nothing attractive about the other two.

I hope they won't tone it down too much from the concept. Judging from above pic, I have little doubt the next G coupe would look sexier. :)

The shape of the headlights of the coupe makes the car look sleepy.:uh:

The hardtop convertible with the eyebrows looks better, but still kind of a yawner. Too sedate-looking for a convertible maybe?:boring:

I agree...the 3/4 shot of the coupe is not attractive, especially the rear. Too bad, the current coupe is still a great looking car IMO.

Here are two other pictures of the 330 coupe. The fist pic is the real spy photo with the tape over the tail lights and the 2nd pic is a photoshop of the concept picture tail lights on the spy photo car. The one thing people have been discussing is that red tail light part on the trunk lid. Some believe it may not be there and just have the tail light on the body like the 6 series. Over all I like it. I hve to see it in person, but might be getting one when it comes out. However, the new G35, or M35/45 coupe that has been posted above also looks really good so I'd have to check that car out as well.

Please point me to the E46 used car lot.......
The Z4 has been ugly for sometime now and the 1 looks okay, not bad to me. The "M" kit helps a bunch.

The funny thing is, they'll sell every last one, once that roundel is on it. Gotta give props to prestige.

I actually really like the 3 sedan in the looks department.

Besides, nothing a drop and bigger rims can't fix :D

I agree... I dunno... I'm kinda holding off on the IS350 right now because I want a hardtop convertible and everything's a contender with me right now, even the C70 :egads:

Getting better with every lap

Of all the cars BMW's engineers get to fling around the Nürburgring test track, we would guess the star of our latest video is one of their favorites. It's the 2008 BMW 3 Series coupe and it's headed for U.S. showrooms sometime in the next 12 months.

Like the 2006 BMW 3 Series sedans, the coupes built their reputation on delivering perfect balance, exceptional steering and suspensions that can make a hero out of anybody. Great engines have always been part of the mix as well, and the next generation of 3 Series coupes won't disappoint. They're likely to make use of BMW's latest line of straight-six engines, so expect to see both 325Ci and 330Ci two-doors in the lineup with 215 hp and 255 hp, respectively.

Good numbers for sure, but BMW isn't stopping there. Various rumors suggest that an even higher horsepower coupe will slot into the lineup above the 330Ci and below the V8-powered M3 expected next year. Most speculation puts the new engine at 3.5 liters with an output of 330 hp thanks to help from a pair of sequential turbochargers. We can only hope that a manual transmission is standard equipment instead of some SMG deal like the M5.

If we're lucky we may see the initial versions of this new BMW coupe as early as this fall, but early next year is the more likely time frame. If the 335i does indeed join the lineup, expect it to lag the base cars by a few months, a tactic that will build up nicely to the introduction of the next-generation M3.

You did notice that those orange turn signals in the side mirrors are not really turn signal lights at all but just orange reflective tape as part of the camouflage right? Seriously though, it will not have turn signal mirrors and be just like the sedan. Its just a piece of tape.

Maybe its just me, these new designs prove that I will never buy a bimmer. They just do not look attractive at all. For some reason the new 3 coupe reminds me of the Hyundai Sonata. Maybe just me... The only bimmer that I even find remotely attractive is the 6. They just all look bloated and frumpy.

The sporty three

Late last year we revealed how the next generation of mid-size BMW drop-tops and coupes would be called 4-Series, creating an all-new range from the omnipresent 3 Series models. Now we've spied the coupe out testing, and we hear it is very unlikely the cars will be called the 4-series as former partner Rover still holds the rights to the term “400-series”, including model names such as 418 or 420. We do therefore assume the new coupé and cabrio will be called 3-series again, though this would make the 6-series a real exotic. But then again: it is an exotic!

Notice this cars’ relatively long overhangs at the front and rear, giving it a more substantial profile. The 6-Series-style tapering and rounded nose is toned down slightly in the Three, but the headlamps are unmistakably cat-like. Possible powerplants include the two- to three-litre petrols, and diesel options as well which will almost certainly appear in the coupe version of the 3-Series, but might as well make it into the cabrio.

I don't like the new 3's much at all. The previous body looked better. I still like the Zed4 coupe and 6s although many people do not. Not a fan of the 1's either, as they kind of look like Hondas. The Zed4 coupe will also debut at the Geneva show.

The spy photographers who snapped some revealing exterior shots of the 2007 BMW 3-Series Coupe also got a look inside the car. Overall, it's quite similar to the 2006 3-Series sedan, but there are a few minor changes. For the first time, we get to see how the new 3-Series interior translates into a two door car, thanks to the revealing shots of the rear seats.

Thats mr bangle for you. IMO, ruined their classic proportions, no more short overhangs, creases and lines everywhere in sight, like they got raped by scissors.

These are cars you cannot judge in person, I will have to wait and see the new 3 coupe.

I will say, I like the 3 sedan's looks more than the rest of the Bimmers, its not even close to me. So I hope the coupe follows this.

Though with a new G35c and IS 350 coupe coming, I am more excited about that.

The 2007 BMW 3-Series coupe has had one of the longest pre-launch buildups for any car in recent years. It has been spied in testing for over a year, with bits of camouflage slowly being removed as the prototypes progressed. Finally, BMW has started testing the cars without anything hiding the car’s new headlight design. Photographer “T.S.” took a pretty clear shot of the car in testing on a track. The shape of lights is notably smoother than that of the sedan, though not necessarily less aggressive. Gone are the sedan’s chrome strips over the grille — which we’re certain few will miss. At this point, no one knows when the car will be officially unveiled. However, it should arrive at the Paris Motor Show in September, at the latest
