My rear-end looks like this ...
So I was driving down the road (this has happened to be twice to already) someone asked me while we were at a dead stop on the road, if my car was the new '06 Hyundai Sonata (b/c we have the same rear-ends). WTF ??? are you serious !! Let me know what you guys think about this and has anything like this happened to you?

Haven't had that yet, in fact I parked next to a new Sonata yesterday. I would say the only similarity is the slant but the IS slant is more pronounced plus the lights are much smaller.

I already mentioned this in the 330i vs IS rear end poll thread. Never mind strangers, it has happened to me! I catch a glimpse of the rear of an '06 Sonata and for a fraction of a second (until I look more closely), my mind thinks IS. Same thing happens when I catch the side profile of a Scion Tc.

My cousin just bought an '06 Audi A4. 2.0T and has been ragging on me about my IS350. He knows his car is inferior to mine, so he calls my car a "Sonata" just out of fun. I never understood why he called it that until now when I saw this thread. The rear sorta looks like the back of the IS, but not quite.

Different people have different eyes. Inevitably someone is going to think your car looks like another car. Probably because there's no such thing as the "unique" car. You can't worry about what other people think.
