Too bad he didn't come back earlier, maybe you could have kept Damon, gotten a real 1st baseman, and not traded Renteria knowing that noone in the farm or on the market was available to replace him.. :egads:

Geez J you guys gave Arroyo a 3 year contract? I guess he's off the block for that trade for Reed from Seatle?

A, first off we didnt want to keep Damon we made that clear during negotiations. He is aging and wanted and got way to much money. Secondly our 1st baseman is defenitley an upgrade fromt he Millar days so I am not worried there. I am assured now that the organization will make a good move for a CF and leadoff hitter. We are content with Cora at short which I dont really mind because anything is better than Rentaria.

As for Arroyo some say that contract was offered to open the trade talks even further others think he is staying put. Either way I dont mind because he is good enough for a 4th or 5th starter job and if he is traded this contract makes it easier for another team to sign him.

I think this Epstein move will get the ball rolling and hopefully we will have a CF/leadoff hitter. :D

I like Theo. He's a good guy. No hard or ill feeling toward him. :thumbup:

I'd like to see him get a decent center fielder without giving up the farm though. good luck. :)
