I had no idea. We all know that they are both Accords, but just looking at both cars side by side, the US Accord looks so much larger compared to the TSX. Interesting. Any Accord owners out there want to upgrade??!!!

INSPIRE(U.S. ACCORD)

this is cool....

TSX

sorry for the small pic, but you get the idea.

Well the TSX is the Accord Euro Type R. So it makes sense.

The Interior isnt as luxrious, but its basically the same.

The U.S.-market Accord not only looks larger than the TSX.....it IS larger, by a significant amount. As Stage3 pointed out, the TSX is the Euro-market Accord, which is not sold in the U.S. market under the Honda nameplate. Honda does this for a reason ( or so they say ) that Europeans want (and need ) the smaller Accord version with smaller engines for the narrower side streets there and higher price of gas. ( maybe Richie in Holland can give us some info on that ).

Having said that, IMO there is no comparison between the two interiors. The TSX's interior, especially the American version sold here under the Acura nameplate, simply blows the Accord's away, especially the two-tone beige and black version with the wood paneling.

One thing in your pictures is puzzling...the top picture of the Accord with the TSX-grade interior. Where did that picture come from? This package is not offered in the U.S., on U.S.-grade Accords, that I know of...it may or may not be in Europe.

I am 99% positive there is not Type R Accord for this generation Euro-Accord (our TSX) .They did make one for the last version. So that guy just added the badges.

Thats the whole point of this thread. I know the TSX is a Euro Accord, I know the JDM Inspire is the USA Accord. Which is why I am also puzzled to see the smaller TSX interior inside of the bigger JDM Inspire(US Accord). These pics are from the Japanese Honda site. Thats why I jokingly said if any current Accord owners might want to do an interior upgrade/swap.

Sure about that homie??

http://www.honda.co.jp/INSPIRE/

Looks like the USA Accord to me with a nose job. (you will also find the pics of the TSX like interior as well in here)

To my understanding the first 2 generation TL's were the based on the respective JDM Inspire's. I believe the current generation TL is not sold in Japan.

the previous generation Honda Inspire was our previous generation TL.

the new Acura TL doesn't have an equivalent model in Japan

and yes 1SICK there is a Accord EuroR
http://www.honda.co.jp/ACCORDEURO-R/

as you can see in that link. -.-

however..the only trim i found of the Accord on the UK Honda site is the Type S..which comes with the 2.4L 4 cylinder our TSX gets.

Accord Euro Type R. CL7 Body code. Run a google images search using "Accord Euro R, CL7" and you'll get all the pics of the Euro-R Accord that is the TSX. Also, they use the Euro-R in Japan as the Spoon Race Car.

Reason i know all of this is my buddy has a TSX, and all the JDM parts he buys come fit for the Accord Euro Type R. He has a lot of Spoon parts on his TSX and just about all of the boxes come marked "Accord ETR/CL7."

Now you know more than you need to!!!
